Motivation Monday! Today, we had the privilege of hosting a guest speaker, Bill Cordes for both our 6-12 and K-5 groups! Each session was filled with energy as students were engaged and inspired by the powerful message on the importance of connection and You Get What You Put In!
It’s a reminder that no matter our age, building strong connections helps us grow, learn, and succeed. This was a great brain break as we prepare for upcoming tests. Let's continue to stay connected and uplift one another!
Shoutout to our amazing high school students who volunteered their time and talent for our littlest Hornets! 18 kindergarten through 3rd grade students showed up ready to learn at the Hornet Connect Basketball & Cheer Clinic. After an hour of fun skill-building, they wrapped up the day with lunch and a special Hornet necklace.
Great job to everyone who made this event such a success — we’re so proud of our Hornet family!
Thank you to Sonic in Nevada for the paper goods donation and the Osage YMCA in Nevada for letting us borrow the smaller basketballs.

Every single one of our seniors completed their FAFSA this year — unlocking access to federal & state aid, grants, and loans for their next steps! (which students can choose to access)
This funding is often first come, first serve, and our students were on it — meeting the Feb. 1st preferred deadline!
Huge thanks to @rootedalliance for the awesome incentives. So far, two seniors have won prizes — including a pair of AirPods and a brand new laptop!
We’ve got ONE more drawing coming before the end of the year — stay tuned and keep celebrating these wins!

Congratulations to Paris Brooks!
Paris has been accepted to Johnson County Community College and is chasing her goal of becoming a top-tier chef by applying for one of just 18 spots in their Culinary Chef Apprenticeship Program!
This competitive 3-year program offers hands-on training, paid worksite experience, and the opportunity to become a Certified Sous Chef through the American Culinary Federation.
JCCC’s culinary program is no joke—they even took 1st place nationally in 2018!
We’re so proud of you, Paris! Keep cooking up success!

Caylee Hough! ✨🎓
Say hello to one of our business-minded seniors, Caylee Hough! Caylee plans to attend Crowder College and stay active on the Neosho campus as she works toward a degree in Business Management. Her goal? To find a company she loves and build a fulfilling career from the ground up! 💼📈
Caylee showed her entrepreneurial spirit as a Hornet Tank participant and even took on event planning roles for two school events—proving she's already on the path to success.
